Is it mandatory to use a Consultant or Lawyer to help with Immigration matters?
Applicants are not required or under any obligation to work with a lawyer or consultant for the purpose of immigration. The Canadian laws surrounding immigration, entry and settlement are constantly changing and evolving. Many foreign nationals may find it beneficial to work with someone who is educated in Canadian immigration law to help reduce the stress of applying to immigrate.
Does working with your Company guarantee applications will be successful?
There is no way to guarantee any application for immigration will be successful. The ultimate decision-making authority lies with the border service agents or other Canadian immigration government officials who review files, upon arrival to Canada. Working with a regulated consultant or lawyer means your paperwork is in order and aligned with the latest requirements for entry, as per the guidelines of the selected immigration program. This will increase the probability of your entrance, though entrance still cannot be guaranteed. If a consultant or individual is guaranteeing your application will be successful, caution is warranted.
Your Services only outline a few types of Immigration, do you work with all types of applications not listed on the site?
The pathways to immigration in Canada are vast and robust, each requiring specialized knowledge within the streams and programs of federal and provincial governments. Teemik Immigration is focused on offering their clients expert, specialized services in only the listed areas, allowing a greater depth of expertise to help their clients.
Do you recommend a specific pathway to individuals who apply as in temporary vs. Permanent Residence?
Each person’s application is wholly unique and our goal is to understand each unique situation and advise on the pathway of least resistance. This means that while you may be eligible to apply under numerous programs or even just one, there may be alternate pathways that could assist with you arriving in Canada sooner.
Do you help Individuals/Foreign Nationals to get LMIAs or only Companies?
We only offer LMIA services to employers in Canada in order to hire a foreign national. For individuals seeking an LMIA to assist with their application for entry into Canada, we advise you to work with a separate agency or directly with an employer who can offer an LMIA.
